the rescue

full video link
before yesterday, i really hadn't given up myself for something other than tending to myself for the past two years. for more explanation, i mean my heart really hasn't been in the right place. I used to go on missions quite frequently to help other people, especially kids in other cities, and i haven't had a chance to do that since i have been in college. i feel like college has most definitely been my experimental stage as far as finding a religion, philosophy, any reasoning, or spiritual concept i believe in. I have always been so moderate on every opinion, i am extrememly gray when life throws me black and white.

when carly asked me about invisible children, i had seen the documentary but i really didn't know exactly what was going on for april 25th. all over the nation, people gathered to support an amazing cause- trying to save the kids from joseph kony in northern uganda. i realize i want to keep fighting, for them and for everyone else who has lost their family.

in the introduction to the documentary, several african children mentioned that they would rather die than be subjected to earth's living conditions because they felt as if they have no hope after kony made them kill their parents and threw them back into a world without guidance.

its heartbreaking and humbling and i find myself changed. i love everything positive change has to offer, whether or whether not i want it sometimes.

get invovled, do something for someone.
i have missed it.
